Mrs. Evelena Crusoe Howard

The Howard, Crusoe, Garber, Smith, Johnson, Moore, Toles and Cooper family, announce the peaceful transition of our mother, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great grandmother, Evelena Crusoe Howard, who departed this life at the home of her daughter in Fontana, California on Tuesday, April 15, 2014.  Born April 2, 1919, in the City of Edina, Grand Bassa County, Mama celebrated her 95th birthday this April.  Mama was a kind-hearted, loving and genuine caring person who embraced all people she met.

She is survived by her sister Cynthia A. Garber;  six children, Joshua (Joy), Stephen (Tonia), Daniel (Massa), Cynthia, Joyce and Ernestine; seven foster children, Ruth, Zean, John, Etta, John, Florence, Mammie and Edith; twenty four grandchildren, 30  great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, cousins and host of relatives and friends.  She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas L. Howard; children, Catherine, Thomas, James and her foster children, Dorothy, Viola and Charles.
