The Hoff, Clarke and Scott families announce with profound sadness the sudden and peaceful homegoing of our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin Johnette Louise Scott-Hoff. This sad event occurred on Thursday, July 16, 2015 in Hyattsville, MD. Johnette Louise Scott-Hoff was predeceased by her husband, Philip Z. Hoff, Sr., her daughter, Wilhelmina N. Hoff and her sister, Doris Scott-Williams.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her children; Alice Scott, Mabel Hoff-Sharrow (Lewis), Richelieu V. Hoff (Theo), Philip Z. Hoff, Jr.(Pamela), Viola E. Hoff, Clarissa Hoff-Jalloh (Augustine) and Johnette Hoff-Nelson (Brakemi); 17 grandchildren, brothers; William N. Scott, Jr. and Jeff Scott, sister; Elitha Taylor-Nyekan, brother-in-law; William S. Hoff, Jr., sister-in-law; Emma Knuckles-Hoff and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mama, Mommie, Ma, Lala, Grandma, Teacher, Chuke, Aunty Johnette, “John”, Sis Johnette, Cousin Johnette as she was affectionately called will be greatly missed by all who came in contact with her pleasant and caring personality. Her memories will linger in our hearts forever. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
