Honorable Vinicius S. Hodges
“Weep not for me though I am gone, into that gentle night, grieve if you will, but not for long, upon my soul’s sweet flight. I am at peace. My soul is at rest. There is no need for tears. For with your love, I was so blessed for all those many years. There is no pain. I suffer not. The fear now all is gone. Put now these things out of your thoughts. In your memory I live on. Remember not my fight for breath, remember not the strife, please do not dwell upon my death, but celebrate my life.”
With Heavy hearts the Hodges family announces the death of Honorable Vinicius S. Hodges, former member of the House of Representatives, Republic of Liberia, former Journalist and Radio Broadcaster who passed into eternity on Saturday November 9, 2019 in Monrovia, Liberia.
Left to cherish his memory are his six children: Veceliah Zahyou, Joseph Lemuel III, Karmul Daddy-boy, Lucinda, Jonathan and Claudius Hodges. Hon. Hodges is survived by siblings: Mayme Hodges, Perma Hodges-Sekon, Phitline B. Hodges, Dr. Aseneth Y. Hodges-Johnson, Solomon Leeland Hodges, and Joseph L. Hodges II, Dr. A. Joel King, and Andrew Paywaye. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Stephen Taweh Brapoh and Jocelia B. Hodges, three aunts, Patricia Gbeyon, Rachel Diggs, and Edwedor Gbeyon, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends in Liberia, USA, Europe and Asia.

Venue: Paynesville Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church, ELWA Junction, Monrovia Liberia

Celebration of Life and Funeral Service : 10:00 am – 12:00 noon
Interment: Hodges Family Cemetery in Fortsville, Grand Bassa County
