Honorable John Tombekai Gray, Sr
The
Gray, Moore and Wesley families announce with
deepest sadness and profound sorrow, the home
going of our beloved father, grandfather, great
grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend,
the Honorable John Tombekai Gray, Sr. This sad
event occurred Saturday, August 20, 2011 at
12:00 p.m. at the Cooper Clinic Medical Center
in Sinkor, Monrovia, Liberia, following a brief
illness.
Honorable
John T. Gray, Sr. was the quintessential public
Servant. He served as Chief of Presidential
Security under the Late President William V.S.
Tubman; Former Director for Public Safety at
the Ministry of Justice; Former Deputy Director
for Operations, Liberia National Police, Former
Acting Chief of Operations, Former Inspector
and Firearms Examiner of the Criminal Investigation
Division (CID), and Former Firearms Examiner
of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)
of the Republic of Liberia. Honorable John T.
Gray, Sr. was predeceased by his loving wife,
Mrs. Edna Richards-Gray in 2000, following a
too long eight-month vacation with her children
in the USA. He leaves to mourn his loss and
cherish his memory, his children, grandchildren,
great grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews,
aunt, cousins, and a host of other relatives
and friends.
Honorable
John T. Gray, Sr. was a loving, caring, and
God fearing man who is greatly missed, and will
forever live on in the memories and hearts of
those whose lives he touched. This announcement
goes out to all family members and friends in
Liberia, the United States, and Norway.
