Mother Grace Christina Dennis

The Dennis family announces with profound regret, the home going of their dear mother, Aunty, Cousin, Mother Grace Christina Dennis.  This sad event occurred on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the St. Joseph Medical Hospital on fifth Street St. Charles, Missouri.

Mother Grace C. Dennis was born on July 28, 1932 unto the union of Mr. Robert and Mary Johnson in Pleebo City, Maryland County. She was raised by Reverend William Taylor and Mother Eva C. White of Harper City, respectively.  Her husband, Judge John Africanus Dennis Sr. predeceased her (*).

Ma, Ma Grace, Mother Dennis, Aunty Grace, Cousin Grace, Gracie, Christy, as she was affectionately called, leaves to mourn her loss her children;  John A. Dennis jr. (Edith Dennis), Wilmot T. Dennis (Edith Anderson Dennis), Henry Dennis, Evangeline and Annie S. Dennis *, Louise J. Dennis, Lucinda Patricia Dennis, Catherine Harmon Lumeh (Alphan Lumeh), Johnette Dennis-Caines (Stephen Caines). Grandchildren: Patrick Cooper, Julius Arthur Mensah jr. Patrice P. Gracie Itoka, Massa James, Desaney Barbour, Princess Dennis, Wilmot Dennis jr., Cicero Randolph Dennis, Gideon Dennis, Nada Ellen Dennis-Walker (Mark Walker),  Henry Dennis jr., Saretta Mamie Doughbeh (Joshua), Luphan and Hilary Lumeh, Jonathan Dennis, Fretus and Sheba Dennis * Stephan Caines, Amani Caines,.  She was also blessed with 18 great grandchildren. Brothers: George and Edward Johnson *, Nieces and nephews: Mrs. Mai Fredericks, Reverend Annie Fredericks- Cooper (Seward Cooper), Lucinda Dennis-McCain, Gabriel Dennis, Samford Dennis (Honey Dennis), Grace Johnson, Aletha Johnson -Campbell (Andy Campbell), Robert Johnson, Everline Johnson, Julia Johnson *, George Johnson and a host of other relatives and friends.
