 Salee Youngor Gogbeh
We, the Gogbeh family, announce with profound sadness and grief the passing of Salee Youngor Gogbeh. Ms. Gogbeh peacefully transitioned from labor to rest on February 18, 2019 at 9:18pm at the Mercy Fitzgerald Medical Center in Darby, Pa., surrounded by her family and friends.
Salee was born on March 21, 1962 in Monrovia to the union of Forkpayea Gogbeh and Monigo Gogbeh. She was predececeased by her mother and leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Edward Farley, father Forkpayea Gogbeh, sons Ishmael Washington, Seayea Gogbeh (Rachel), Gogbeh Workolo, Paimah Gogbeh, Joseph Jallah, daughter Sylvia Washington-Metzger (Wilmot), sisters Kormassah Gogbeh, Eliza Free-Paygai (Arthur), brother Jimmy Gogbeh and a host of friends and relatives. Ms. Gogbeh was an industrious, friendly, courteous and independent woman who always greeted everyone with a smile. She purposely kept her cancer diagnosis to herself as a way of shielding herself from pity from others and faith in her ability to cater to her personal wellbeing.
Funeral arrangements over her remains will be held as follows:
Wakekeeping: Friday, March 15, Victory Harvest, 2536 South 59th street, Philadelphia, Pa , 19143, 7pm-11pm
Funeral: Saturday, March 16 at 10am, Victory Harvest (same address above)
Repast will be held at the church immediately after the funeral.
