The
Goe, Martu, Wisseh and Doe families regret to
announce the passing of their beloved mother,
grand-mother, great-grand-mother, sister, aunt,
and cousin the late Cecelia Dorkin Pursehdee
Goe. She was 78 years old. This sad event occurred
on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the John F.
Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Monrovia, Liberia.
Momma,
as she was affectionately called, lived her
life with joy and happiness and shared these
gifts with all around her including families
and friends. She was a devoted Catholic and
a long-time parishioner of the Sacred Heart
Cathedral, where she was an active member of
the Catholic Women Organization (CWO), St. Theresa
Tribal Choir and the Legion of Mary. Momma will
be dearly missed. However, we are consoled by
the fact that she now rest in perpetual peace
with our Lord and Saviour.
Mdme
Cecelia Dorkin Goe was predeceased by her husband
Peter Goe; her sons, Blamoh Goe, Nimely Wisseh,
and Col. Richard Purseh Goe; and her daughter
Kladee Constance-Nagbe. She leaves to mourn
her passing, her daughters Ms. Victoria Nahdee
Martu, Ms. Agnes Juah Wisseh, and Augustina
Throh Martu; her grand-children, Prince "Tutu
Boy" Doe, Konah "Taya" Jallah,
Jemima Jallah, Nahdee Goe-Parker, Nataline Kladee
Cole, Francis Segbeh Goe, Gardea T. Caphart,
Richard Anderson, Daniel Akeem Collins, Siemee
Goe, and Hazeline Pursehdee Collins; her great-grand-children,
Roland, Purseh, Fatu, James, Surprise, and Deeshun;
her nephews, Dickson Doe, Washington Kojo Doe,
and Ezekiel Gelekan Doe; nieces, cousins and
a host of relatives, friends and well-wishers;
all residing in Liberia and the United States.
FUNERAL
ARRANGEMENTS
Quiet
hour with the family will be held on Thursday,
August 26, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at the
St. Moses Funeral Parlour on the Freeway, Gardnersville,
Monrovia, Liberia.
Wake
keeping will be held on Friday, August 27,
2010 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Cathedral
on Broad Street, Monrovia, Liberia followed
by the Funeral service at 11:00 AM, at the same
venue.
Interment
will take place at the Du Port Road Cemetery.
Repast
will be held immediately after the interment
at Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish Hall.
