Amanda Cooper-Givens
The
Givens, Cooper, and Johnson families announce
with deepest regrets the passing of their wife,
mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister,
aunt and cousin. This sorrowful event occurred
Saturday, August 28th at 9:10 p.m., at the home
of her son-in law and daughter Jah and Frances
Fahnbulleh, in Laurel, Maryland, U.S.A. She
is survived by her husband of 47 years, Willie
A. Givens, four children, Dr. Frances Fahnbulleh
(Jah), Angeline Givens, Willie Givens, Jr. (Lesa),
Keimah Stephenson (Craig), one foster son, Emmanuel
Marshall, two step children, Jebbeh and Momolu
Givens, three sisters, Rosalind Richards, Angeline
Cooper, Maryann Melton, one brother-in-law,
Rev. Eric David (Connie), five sisters-in-law,
Sarah Carey, Williette Cooper, Mariah Cooper,
Izetta Cooper, Wannie Cooper, and 14 grandchildren,
one great grandchild, many nieces, and nephews,
grand nieces and nephews, and cousins in the
U.S. and Liberia.
In
lieu of flowers, please make tax exempt donations
to the memorial scholarship being established
by the family of Marion A. Cooper Givens through
the National Association of Cape Mountainians
in the Americas (NACA) a 501.c3 organization
to benefit young children in Liberia, West Africa.
Donations can be made payable to NACA and mailed
to 930 New Hope Road #11-146, Lawrenceville,
GA 30045.
