Rose Klade Neal Gilman, affectionately called "Naan"

The Neal, Harris, Brewer, Badio, Gilman & Appleton Families with heavy hearts regret to announce the death of our beloved darling mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Niece, Cousin & good friend to all, Rose Klade Neal Gilman, affectionately called Naan, Sister Rose, Grandma Rose and teacher Rose. She departed this life peacefully on the evening of Saturday September 29, 2012 at the Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI after a very brief illness.
Naan, was the eldest daughter of Tommy Neal & Nancy Sienannoh Toe of Maryland County, Liberia; born June 3, 1935. She was the last surviving founding member & original teacher of William A. Rogers Kindergarten School in Pleebo Maryland, County, Liberia. She was also a well known seamstress & former employee of LIRAMCO. She embraced Christianity at an early age and was an ardent member of St. Stephen Episcopal Church Pleebo, before relocating to Monrovia and transferring her membership to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Sinkor, Monrovia.
She was humbled, quiet, fun loving, respectful, God fearing and a lady who loved to dance.
She was pre deceased by her paternal great-grandfather Prophet William Wadeh Harris, grandparents Grace & Judson Neal, parents Tommy Neal & Sienannoh, her Aunts: Rose Neal Horace, Betty Neal-Smith, uncles: Robert F Neal Sr, Filmore Neal, her brother William W. Neal "Bill", Children: Gloria, Tommy "SundayBoy" and George Gilman amongst others.
Naan leaves to mourn and cherish her memories, 7 children: Edward (kaymah) Columbia, MD, Josephine (Emmett) Philadelphia, PA, Cynthia of Virginia Beach, VA, RoseMarie (PG) Switerzland, Emmett (Wade) Monrovia, Liberia, Godwin of Liberia, Eugene (Esther) of Liberia, Charles Quatee (celia), Eugene Togba (Bendu. 28 grandchildren: Duwli, Konah, Dio, Duke, Gede, Shyvonne, Tesa, Rosemarie, Marcia, Emmett, Donald, Patrick, Godwin, Ramona, Sieyeanen, Edwina, EJ., Godwin, Nyenneh-Nyemah, Nyemade, Muppet, Charles, Emmett, Rachell, Cyril, Cassandra & Ephraim. 8 greatgrand children. 4 loving sisters: Martha Neal Kashouh (Joseph) of Rhode Island, Jane Neal Ballout of Sweden, Betty Neal Smith, II of Philadelphia. PA, Annie Neal Bass (James) of Providence, RI. 1 Great grandaunt: Jeanine Neal (Columbia, MD) many cousins including Jessie Krakue (NY), Angelique Jones ( Dr. Jones), Nellie Nagbe (Phila), Comfort G. Neal, lots of step & foster children including Louise Eastman & Sophia Williams Verdier, and a host of relatives & Friends in USA, Africa, Europe & Australia.
Naan, we loved you in life & we will love you in death, but God loves you best till we meet again. Rest, our beloved & thanks for your patience, understanding, sacrifices and for loving us. May your soul rest in perfect peace & light perpetual shine upon you.
