It is in profound and deep sadness that the Gibson, Greaves, Capehart, & Hood families announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, cousin, & aunty, Mrs. Irene Gibson.
Mrs. Gibson was born on October 13, 1943 in Grand Bassa County, Liberia. She was an extraordinary woman of God who was loved and cherish by everyone. She lived a wonderful and joyous life. Sadly on the morning of December 12, 2018 the good Lord called her home. She passed away at Gwinnett Medical Hospital in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Fredrick Gibson Sr; her children: Maima Greaves (Barchue), Veronica Capehart, Fredrick T. Gibson, Ellen Hood (Isaac), Yassah Gibson, Foudiya Henri (Ralph) & Williametta Cooper; her sisters: Angeline Sonpon and Martha Rogers; her nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, & great grandchildren. She will truly be missed. Her final home going will be held in Liberia with more information to come. There will be a funeral service in the U.S. for those who cannot attend in Liberia.
