The
Smith, Phaley, Boe, Gbapoo, Vah, Moore, Toe,
and Galama families are saddened to announce
the peaceful home going in his 51st year, of
Deacon Madison Friley Smith of Bassa Community,
Monrovia, Liberia. This demise occurred at the
St. Joseph Catholic Hospital on Wednesday, November
2nd, 2011 at 11:15 PM in Monrovia, Liberia.
He was a loving husband; father, brother, nephew,
uncle, cousin and friend. He was a dedicated
employee of the Motor Vehicle Department of
the Ministry of Finance/MOT.
Significantly,
as a young humanitarian he devoted his times
to youth development and sports, before his
demise he served as co-chairman on the Barrack
Young Controllers, (BYC) Board.
As
a rising star of the Bassa Brotherhood Industrial
Benefit Society, he served as vice president
in the education department. Friley leaves to
mourn his lovely wife Deddeh Galama Smith and
ten (10) children who are Kelvin Smith, Loranzo
Smith, Genevie Smith, Jonah Smith, Princess
Smith, Cynthia Smith, Shada Smith, Stephen J.
Smith, Zoe Smith, Vivian Smith, Brothers and
sisters in the USA, Germany, and Switzerland
that include Liberian Journalist Fred V. B.
Smith, Jr. and his sister Violet Smith Thomas
respectively of Los Angeles, California, others
are Gordon Smith (Upper Darby, PA), Mary Smith
(Germany), and Lolita Genevie Pfenniger (Switzerland).
Others siblings in Liberia are Alexander Smith,
Bill F. Smith, Lewis Smith, Oliver Jarry, Matthew
Smith, Arthur M. Smith, Larry B. Smith, Elizabeth
Smith and Helina Smith. Host of others relatives
in the USA and Liberia respectively that include
Aunty Nellie Moore Dwimoh, Williette Quemolue,
Ascelia Thompson, Sarah Johnson, Cousin Fred
Vah, Symons Marshall, Roselyn Johnson Dennis,
Josephine Jones, Frank Smith, James Gibson,
Rose Gibson and other relatives, uncles, auntys,
nieces and nephews.
