Mrs. Emily DeWitte Hoff Freeman

The family of the Late Emily DeWitte Hoff Freeman announces with deep sadness the home going of their mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin. This very sad event occurred on Thursday, November 8, 2012 in London, England. Mrs. Freeman was a lifelong educator; she taught at Episcopal Elementary School in Robertsport, Grand Cape Mount County, Charles D. B. King Elementary School, and Monrovia Demonstration Elementary School, for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Boakai Freeman, Sr.; sons Henry Boakai Freeman, Jr., Feweh Freeman, Emmanuel Freeman; daughters, Malia Kula Hoff and Bindu Massaquoi Johnson; two sisters, Nancy Hoff Jones and Stephenetta Hoff Peal; four brothers, Phillip Z. Hoff, Sr., Rev. Dr. Advertus Hoff, Sr., Rev. Dr. William H. Hoff, and Jenkins L. Hoff, Sr.; three sisters-in-law, Rev. Theaflac Hoff, Etta Sancea Hoff, and Dr. Joanna Diggs Hoff; and other beloved relatives.

Aunty Emily leaves to mourn her loss her children, William Amara Freeman (Famata Tamba Freeman), Masa Ellen Freeman, Clarissa Freeman Blegay (Dr. Robert Blegay), and George Luciny Freeman (Alecia Reeves Freeman); daughter-in-law, Famatta Walker Freeman; one sister, Adaline S. Hoff Tower and one brother, Dr. William S. Hoff; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Johnette Scott Hoff (Phillip) and Mrs. Emma Knuckles Hoff (Advertus); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and a host of relatives, friends and students.
