Rachel Kennedy Douglas

It is with profound sadness that the Johnson, Kennedy and Douglas families announce the home going of the late Rachel Kennedy Douglas (CeeCee Ray) of the city of Gardnerville Montserrado County, Liberia.
This sad event occurred on Wednesday July 1, 2020 at 6:00am at the home of her granddaughter Emily Blackie Zayzay. The late Rachel Douglas resided in Monrovia the capital city of Liberia for a very lengthy period of time. She later returned to her hometown Greenville in Sinoe County when her late husband Joseph Nyema Douglas assumed the Superintendent ship in 1985. Rachel returned to Monrovia during the onset of the Liberian civil war in 1990 and remained there until her demise. Her husband Joseph Nyema Douglas predeceased her in 1999. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Joann Thomas, William Thomas Jr, Daniel Thomas, Edward Murphy Douglas, and Thomas Clay Douglas. Grand children: Blackie, Camilla, Sean, Edwin, Paypay, Zack, Princess, Agnes, Ma Juah, Afee, Decontee, Bindu, TJ and Baby G. Nieces and nephews include Sarah Brown, Alonso Sleweon, George Brown, Ezekiel Brown, Etmonia Crayton, Lolita Tuopay, Louise Tuopay, Jacqueline Kennedy, Taplah Kennedy, Andy Kennedy Jr. and Andria Nyekan. Also left to mourn her loss is her only surviving brother Andy Kennedy Sr. of Freetown Sierra Leone and a host of other relatives and friends in Liberia, United States of America and other parts of the world.

Interment: J.C.N. Howard cemetery in Paynesville, Monrovia Liberia
