WILLIAM HENRY DENNIS, JR.

October 7, 1942 – April 18, 2020

The Dennis, Accooe families and ICF Family announce the calling from labor to rest of William H. Dennis who is originally from Liberia, West Africa. He took his spiritual flight on Saturday, April 18, 2020, at his home in Evans, Georgia, USA after his battle with life. “Bor. Allen” or “Bill” as he was affectionately called was born on October 7, 1942 in the city of Gbarnga, Bong County Liberia, West Africa to the union of the late William Henry Dennis, Sr. and the late Beatrice Brown-Dennis of Gbarnga, Bong County, Liberia.

Bill grew up in a Gbarnga, Bong County Liberia and is a graduate the Booker Washington Institute (BWI) in Kakata, Liberia. His professional career began with a job at the then Liberia Post and Telegraph Ministry where he rose to Post Master General for Bong County. Bill later served as Post Master for the rural counties of Liberia - Nimba, Lofa and Grand Gedeh; building their respective post offices. His career took him for many postal related training in England and other parts of the world. During the late President William R. Tolbert Jr. Administration in Liberia, he was appointed as the Managing Director Representative for Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea of the Mino River Union Business and Economic Project.

Bor. Allen accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the St. John United Methodist Church in Gbarnga, Bong County. While in Metro-Atlanta and Augusta, Georgia, Bill was self-employed and the owner of a Janitorial Service. Many of Bill’s friends and relatives knew him to be very resourceful and talented as reflected in his business. He worked with Delta Airline as a manager before becoming ill. He was a member of International Christian Fellowship Ministries of Atlanta, Georgia. The passing of Bor. Allen will be felt far and near because of who he was. He will be greatly missed by many.

Bor. Allen was pre-deceased by his parents, William Henry Dennis, Sr. & Beatrice Brown-Dennis, & his siblings/children with asterisks shown below. He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories his darling wife, Tonya A. Dennis; his children: William H. Dennis, II; Ellen Dennis; John A. Dennis*; Jerryann C. Dennis; Princess Theresa Dennis; Matthew Dennis; Prince William Dennis; Nyasia Korto Dennis*; Nerma C. Beatric Dennis; eight grandchildren; his brothers (their spouses): Albert Dennis* (Cecelia*); James A. Dennis* (Josephine); (Christopher A. Dennis (Louise) ; Alphonso Dennis* (Gladys); MacFarland Arthur Dennis (Love), Leroye Dennis* (Hannah), Franklin Dennis*; Lawrence Dennis*Burgess L. Dennis (Paulina);;his sisters (their spouses) – Genegrave Dennis; Euphemia J. Dennis Massaquoi (Theophilus), Gloria B. Dennis; his aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives Liberia, Canada, Ghana, England and United States He was welcomed by the heavenly hosts where he is dancing with the angles. May his soul and the souls of the faithful departed rest in perfect peace!

SPECIAL NOTES:
The remains of William H. Dennis is at the Rucker Funeral Funeral Home in Decatur, Georgia. Due to the COVID-19 virus crisis and normal travel restrictions in the USA and Liberia respectively, it was decided to proceed with the funeral services as shown above. Plans are in works to have a memorial service during his birth month at the International Christian Fellowship Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia. When more details are available, this TLC announcement will be updated accordingly.
