Mrs. Adell Etmonia Hayes-Davis

The Hayes, Davis, Weeks and Wilson families announce with profound regrets, the passing of Mrs. Adell Etmonia Hayes-Davis, in her 82nd year.  This sad event occurred at her home in Brewerville, Liberia on November 1, 2012.

Mommie, Big Ma, Big Mommie, Auntie Ettie, as she was affectionately called, was the wife of 44 years of the late Rev. Isaac M. Davis, Sr. who predeceased her on October 10, 1998.

She leaves to cherish the memories of her unconditional love and unrelenting prayers, her children:  Mr. Isaac M. Davis, Jr.; Ms. Brendell A. Davis; Mrs. Vireder M. Davis-Goodridge and her husband Mr. William R. Goodridge; Ms. Etmonia L. Davis; Mr. Nixon P. Davis; Mr. Willie O. Davis; and Mrs. Elvera Precious Davis-Asoroona and her husband Austin O. Asoroona.  She will also be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law:  Mrs. Doris Cooper-Hayes, Mrs. Euphemia Weeks and Mrs. Monroetta Weeks; her first cousins:  Mr. A. John Wilson and Mrs. Frances Hayes-Grisby; fourteen grand children, six great-grand children and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Her son, Lafayette Davis, predeceased her in infancy.  She was also predeceased by her brothers Messrs. Emmett E. Hayes and Edwin Hayes.
