Sunrise: June 23, 1949 Sunset: December 3, 2019.
It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that the Davies and Narmah families announce the home going of our beloved father; husband, brother, nephew, uncle, and cousin, Josiah Koch Davies; commonly known as JD. This sad event occurred on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 12:45 AM Eastern Time, at the Temple University Medical Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after a brief illness.
Josiah leaves to mourn his loss, his loving and devoted wife, Betty Narmah Davies for 28 unbroken years. Children: Saybah Davies, Ayesatu Corneh-Taylor, Prince Terwely Davies and Breon K. Davies. Three grandchildren; Nadia, Malia, and Najah Taylor, Sister Lucy commonly known as Ma Lucy, Nephew Bishop Charles Saydee, many Nieces and Grand Nephews in Liberia.
His loving wife refers to him as her Soul Mate, and the shiniest of their existence. His family and friends refers to his Humility of one that is so exquisite, and rear. JD’s finest quality was his patience; an inherent ability to listen, to absorb and to offer a point of view based on quiet, measured wisdom. His humbleness of putting others first is one that is inborn from his maker. He will be missed and forever be remembered, Rest in Peace JD. Rest in Eternal Peace.
