Ms. Selena Sadia Cooper

The Cooper and Mensah families announce with deep regret the death of Ms. Selena Sadia Cooper, commonly known as “Sister”.

Ms. Cooper passed away peacefully on Christmas Day at the home of her niece in Hotel Africa Community, Virginia, Liberia.

She was predeceased by her father, James Kaiser Cooper; mother, Victoria Mensah Cooper, and Sister, Bendue Cooper Parker.

Miss Cooper attended Laboratory High School (Tubman High School) and later matriculated to Sawyer College of Business in Los Angeles, California. Miss Cooper was a lifelong employee and member of the University of Liberia family and dedicated many years of service in the Personnel office. She was also a dedicated member of the Providence Baptist Church in Liberia and devoted to her Naomi Circle. Ms. Selena Sadia Cooper also called the Los Angeles California area her home over the last 20 years and has fond memories with cherished family members, friends, and neighbors and was active in the Liberian community.

 She leaves to mourn her loss: Sister, Evelyn Cooper Wallace; brother, Victor Cooper, and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins: Franz Cooper (nephew and foster son), Alexandria Wrimene, Michel Dioubate, Charles T. G. Cooper (Sonia), Judge James B. Cooper, Enoch Cooper, Zelda Wallace Woods, Obrien Wallace, Miattah Walker, George Cooper, S. B. Mensah, Delores Mensah to name a few.

Order of Service:

Her remains will be removed from the A. B. Anderson Funeral Parlors on January 10, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. and taken to the Providence Baptist Church on Broad, Center and Ashmun Streets. Wake-keeping starts at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral starts immediately at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will take place at the Harvey Cemetery in Brewerville, Liberia.

Repast will be announced at the Funeral.
