The
Cooper and Gibson families sadly announce the
home going of our beloved one
Mr. Charles Edward Cooper Sr. He ended his earthly
journey on Thursday, September 15, 2011.
He is survived by his children, Mrs. Charlene
Cooper Langley and Mr. Claude Emanuel Langley;
Mr. Charles Edward Cooper Jr. and Mrs. Carrinne
Mappy Cooper; siblings, Mrs. Adriana Cooper
Stewart; Mr. Samuel Payne Cooper, Mrs. Evelyna
Cooper Peal, Mr. Henry Reed Cooper Sr. (Nadu),
Mrs. D'Arcy Cooper Henries, Ms. Gertrude Cooper,
Mrs. Emma Cooper Weanquoi (George); grandchildren,
Ms. Sacha-Marie A. Langley, Mr. Momolu Daryl
Hodge, Mr. Claude Emanuel Langley Jr.: and a
host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives
and life-long friends. He was predeceased by
his wife Mrs. Olivia Kamara Cooper and his daughter
Mrs. Edith Cooper Hodge.
WAKE-KEEPING
A celebration of life wake-keeping service will
be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 7:00pm
to 10:00pm at Glenmont United Methodist Church,
12901 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20906.
FUNERAL
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October
8, 2011 at 9:00am at Glenmont United Methodist
Church, 12901 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring,
MD 20906. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven
Cemetery. A repast will follow immediately after
interment.
