God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered “come to me”.
With deep sorrow, the Cooper, Taylor, and Cox families announce the home-going of our beloved husband, father, brother, cousin, uncle, grandfather and family patriarch. This sad event occurred on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 in Virginia, USA. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, Eleanor Cooper, his children, Francis Jr, Robert, Joseph, Ronald, Himien, Jaison, and seven grandchildren. Additionally, mourning his loss are his remaining siblings, Mary E. Horton, Angelique Cooper Jones, and Lucinda Cooper Andersson, Aunt Annie Cooper Marquis, Stepsister Leona Washington, Cousins James H.R. Cooper, Harriet Cummings, Sara Cox Jeffy, Rachel Cox, and many other family members and friends in the United States, Liberia and around the world.
His mother Ella Dyson, his father Henry J. Cooper, and his son Henry Cooper, predeceased him.
Francis, Uncle Francis, Cousin Francis, Mr. Cooper, and FBC (typically reflecting his UL grading scale), as he was affectionately called, believed in a better tomorrow for Liberia. He was very active in the reconstruction and development of his native country Liberia.
