Henrietta Collins

It is with profound sadness that the Outland and Banks Families announce the peaceful transitioning from labor to eternal rest of Mrs. Henrietta Louise Banks Collins. This sad event occurred at the residence of her grandson and granddaughter, Mr. And Mrs. Tarikh Benson in Snellville, Georgia on Sunday, December 27th, 2020, at 7:23pm.

The late Henrietta Collins was born on December 15, 1934 in the City of Brewerville, Liberia onto the union of Mr. Robert Banks Sr., and Mrs. Keturah Outland Banks who predeceased her. She was united into holy matrimony to Phillip Collins, who also predeceased her. This union was blessed with a son, Kenneth N. Collins. She is survived by her six children: T. Asora Sanders, Dr. Eric Benson, Pandora Banks, Philander Benson (Winifred, Rev.), Carver Benson (Annie), and Kenneth Collins (Cindy); 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two brothers: Robert Sabu Banks Jr. (Olga), George Banks; two sisters: Etta Banks Kollie (Moses, the late), Farcia Banks Ofogho (Clake, the late); and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and loved ones.

H.B. as she was affectionately called, embraced Christianity at an early
age and became a member of the Zion Grove Baptist Church, Brewerville,
Liberia, where she diligently served in the Usher Ministry until she
matriculated to the U.S. in 1988. Upon relocating to Atlanta, GA from Nashville, TN in 1991, she became a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

H.B. was a phenomenal mother, extraordinary family member and a remarkable friend. We are so grateful to have been blessed with such a precious gem. Well done Ma. Take your rest and we’ll meet on the other side of through.
