The Clarke, Thomas & Bracewell family announced the death of Janet Thomas Clarke. Her passing from this terrestrial earth. Her transition to the celestial occurred on Friday, June 26, 2020 at the Egar Hospice facility on Staten Island, New York.
Born unto the union of Aaron H Thomas and Martha Clarke-Thomas on September 26, 1955, Janet was the fourth child from a family of seven children. Her mother, father and three siblings, Theresa Thomas, Joseph Bracewell and Pandora Bracewell predeceased her.
Her aunt, Henrietta B. Yates (deceased) was her guardian and enrolled Janet in the St. Teresa Covent school in Monrovia, Liberia. She later enrolled in Zuo Mission and BWI from where she graduated and later the Leigh Sherman Secretarial school.
Janet worked at the Budget Bureau and the Temple of Justice in Monrovia as a stenographer for many years before emigrating to the US in 1986. In New York, New York, Janet worked as a Data entry clerk/Secretary before a career change to the health sector as an Aide in Florida.
Shorty, Aunty Janet, as she was affectionately called, was a good conversationist, Jovial -even unto the end, will surely be missed.
She is survived by her daughter Dagnet Worjloh, sisters brother, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives in the United States and Liberia.
