JOHNNY SAYDEE CHAPIN
JULY 27, 1942 – MARCH 23, 2018
It is with profound sadness and deep regrets that the Chapin and Saydee families announce the death of Mr. Johnny Saydee Chapin, a former employee of the National Iron Ore Company (NIOC) and the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) in Liberia respectively. This sad event occurred on Friday, March 23rd 2018 at the Vibra Hospital in Crown Point, Indiana, USA after a long period of illness. Honoring his legacy and indelible memories are his wife of over 50 years Mrs. Elizabeth Gooding Chapin, seven children, Alvicia Chapin Jackson, Victoria Chapin Dixon, Emmanuel Chapin, Jones Emmett Chapin, Darren Chapin, Cencee Chapin, and Charles Chapin. He also leaves to morn two brothers Mr. David Chapin and Thomas Saydee, four sisters, 14 grand children, 5 great grand children, nephews, nieces, cousins, aunties and uncles, as well as a host of adopted children living in the US, Liberia, and abroad.
Activities marking the celebration of Mr. Chapin’s life will be held in both the United States and Liberia. Here are the details:
