Hattie Mamie Cephas

The Cephas, Saywah, Leyou, George, Brown, Kohn, and Duoe families announce with deepest sorrow the death of our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend Hattie Mamie Cephas.

Mamie as she was affectionately called went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 29th, 2017, at the Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ.

Mamie is survived by two children Ms. Harrislyn J. Saywah and Ms. Benetta D. Leyou. She is also survived by the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Cecelia N. Goffa-Duoe (Thomas), Mrs. Theresa M. Brown (Sam), Mrs. Josephine Kohn (Nat), Mr. Anthony W. Cephas, Mr. William R. Cephas, Mr. Charles D. Cephas (Louise), Ms. Jeanetta O. Cephas, Mr. Wynston B. Cephas, Mr. Emmanuel F. Cephas, and Mrs. Esther M. Metzger (Rambo). She also survived by a host of friends and relatives. Mamie is predeceased by her father Mr. Anthony M. G. Cephas, mother Theresa Mardoe Cephas, brother Maxwell Alpha and daughter Mullah.
