It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Mark Carlton Carr announce his peaceful homegoing after a courageous fight with a protracted illness. Carlton, as he was affectionately called by all who knew and loved him, was called to be with his Lord on Monday, December 28th, 2020.
Carlton was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and friend. He leaves behind his beloved and doting wife, Mardea Carr; His children, Mark Carlton Jr. (C.J.), Michael, Ariel, Marcel and Morgan; His siblings, Ulla Adighibe, Mark Crates (Samira), Robert Smallwood (Gamai), Batie Nabwe-Davis (Aaron); His adopted mother, Laura Harris; His sisters and brothers in love, Wadei Powell, Jackie Khoury, and Stanley Summerville; His nieces and nephews, Tyler McCritty, Nana Powell, Cecelia and Jamila Smallwood, Mona Adghibe, and Chelsea, Kofa, Kaiza, Malaika and Ezana Crates; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
He was pre-deceased by his mother, Cecelia Carr, father, Anthony Nabwe, brothers, Darryl Johnson and Jeremiah Nabwe.
Carlton’s homegoing will be celebrated on Monday, January 11, 2021 in New Jersey. Due to the Covid Pandemic and state and facility capacity restrictions, the homegoing service will be by invitation only.
