The
family of Joseph A. Buxton announces the peaceful
home going of our beloved husband, father, grandfather,
brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. This event
occurred on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the
St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
He
leaves to celebrate his life, his wife: Louise
Reeves Buxton, four children: Mar-yaedeh B.
Bailey (Ben Bailey), William B. Buxton, II (Felicia
Buxton), Musulyn Buxton, and Miatta Buxton Ballah
(Anthony Ballah); 6 foster children: Zoe Reeves,
Solomon Vaye and James David, Hawa Reeves, Gbassie
Massaquoi and Prince Reeves; six grandchildren:
Abraham Bah, Juanita Varmah, Ebony Okyne, Neamoie
Buxton, Antonia Ballah and Barnor Buxton, Jr.;
six brothers: John Buxton, Richard Buxton (Annie
Buxton), David Buxton, Enoch Buxton (Toni Buxton),
Samuel Buxton (Carmen Buxton), and Neamoie Buxton
(Maima Buxton); four sisters: Rachel Massalee
(Abel Z. Massalee, Sr.), Sally Clarke, Esther
Jones (Dr. Mills Jones) and Victoria Pennoh
(Gabriel Pennoh); two brothers in law: Dr. G.
Bismarck Reeves and S. Soni Sherman, Sr.; the
Mills and Frederick families as well as many
other relatives and friends.
