 OBITUARY: REV. JOSEPH G. BROWNELL, SR.
The Brownell and Johnson Families announce the death and homegoing of their father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin, Rev. Joseph G. Brownell, Sr., in his 66th year.
This sad event occurred at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4th, at New York Presbyterian Hospital, in Queens, New York.
Joseph Brownell retired as Vice Principal of the Boys and Girls High School, in Brooklyn, New York. Before coming to the United States, he served at the Liberia Electricity Corporation and the Liberia National Police.
Visitation, Viewing and The Celebration of Life and Homegoing Service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at the Roy L. Gilmore Funeral Home. Burial will be held on Saturday, June 29th, at 10:00 a.m., at the Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum in Farmingdale, Long Island. There will be no Repast.
Rev. Joseph G. Brownell, Sr. is survived by his children: Josephine Brownell, Joseph G. Brownell, Jr., Bantie Tupee Brownell-Morris (Sidney), and Joko G. Brownell(Cassaundra); grandson Nathaniel Gabriel Forschner; siblings: Harriet Brownell, Dr. Lincoln Brownell, Jr. (Sabah), Myshael Brownell (Addie), Edyth Brownell, and Gloria Brownell Dougba (Victor, Sr.); the Nete-Sie Brownell and Enick Johnson families, and friends of Liberia and the United States of America.
