 Mrs. Caroline E. Washington Brooks
The Brooks, Washington and Morris families announce with heartfelt sadness the death, in her 97th year, of Mrs. Caroline E. Washington Brooks. She died on October 15, 2020. The late Mrs. Caroline Washington Brooks was born on June 3, 1923 to the union of Mr. Benjamin Washington and Mrs. Frances Morris Washington.
Mrs. Caroline E. Washington Brooks was predeceased by her husband, Magistrate Urias T. J. Brooks; her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Benjamin Washington; her teenage son, Seward Benjamin Brooks; her brother, Stanley Benjamin Washington; her niece, Martha Washington.
She leaves to mourn her loss: Her sister, Mrs. Nancy Washington Nayreau; her nieces: Mrs. Enid Hoff David, Mrs. Gurley Wilson, Mrs. Ida V. Washington Guyea (Alex), Mr. Stephen Washington (Angie); her children whom she raised, loved and cared for, including: Ms. Elaine J. Brooks; Mrs. Gwendolyn Brooks Newland (A.B); Mrs. Miatta Brooks Hoff (Roland); Jenneh Brooks; U. Townsend J Brooks, Jr. (Janice); Victor Brooks; U. Townsend Brooks; Joseph Brooks; and numerous grandchildren, grand nieces and nephews.
