Mr.
G. Raymond Bright
The
Bright family announces with profound sadness
the passing of their beloved son, brother, nephew,
uncle, and cousin, Mr. G. Raymond Bright, renowned
Architect and A.F & A.M Worshipful Master
Oriental Lodge #1, on Monday, June 1, 2009,
after a brief period of illness. This sad event
occurred at the Firestone Hospital in Harbel,
Liberia.
Raymond
is survived by his mother (Mrs. Edith L. Bright),
his former wife (Mrs. Cleopatra Sawyer), his
children (Ronnie, Onika, Joshua Robert, Nyome
Dele, Zoe Raelene, Timothy Raymond, Meneena
and Schaun) and grandson (Rahsaan).
Ray
will be greatly missed by his brothers and sisters
(J. Zangar Bright Sr., Rameses Bright, Juanita
Macauley, Charles Bright, Wadai Bright Dennis,
Enid Cole, Omodele Bright Greaves, Ralph Bright,
Womi Bright Neal, Cecelia Bright Watson, Robert
Bright Jr., Lawrence Huskin, Nancee Bright,
Sayonne Bright Dennis, Archie Bright and Emery
Bright) and their families.
Also
mourning his loss are his Cousins Dr. and Mrs.
C. Archibald Johnson, Mrs. Clavenda Bright Parker,
Mr. and Mrs Richard Albert Bright, Mr. and Mrs.
Wlliam O.D. Jones as well as Messrs. Edwin and
Wilmot Goll and Mrs. Hawah Goll-Kotchi, along
with many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host
of relatives and lifelong friends.
He
was predeceased by his father (Mr. Robert I.E.
Bright Sr.) his biological mother (Mrs. Elizabeth
Walker) his sisters (Ramona Bright Morris and
Marie Bright Cooper) and son (Benoni Bright).
Wake
Keeping
The body will be removed from the Samuel Stryker
Funeral Home in Sinkor on Tuesday, June 16,
2009 at 2:30 PM, and taken to the Masonic Temple,
Benson Street, Monrovia, and taken a few hours
later to the Trinity Cathedral on Broad St.
for wakekeeping services which will begin at
6:00 PM.
Funeral
Service
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday,
June 17, 2009, at the Trinity Cathedral on Broad
Street at 10:00 AM.
Interment will be at the Brewersville Cemetery
in Brewersville, Liberia followed by a repast
at the Brewersville City Hall.
Memorial
Service
A memorial service will be held in the United
States on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the Church
of the Ascension in Gaithersburg, MD
The
