Gertrude Pereta Brewer

The Brewer and Prout Family of the Republic of Liberia and the United States of America announce with profound regrets the home going of our beloved family member Gertrude Pereta Brewer daughter of the Late Gen. Robert Alexander Brewer, Sr. and Martha Elizabeth Prout Brewer Dennis.  She leaves to mourn her siblings and their children Sewell T. Prout Brewer, Sr. (deceased), Dr.Rubell Brewer (Anouska), R. Alexander Brewer, Jr. (Sophie)  and Magdalene Brewer. She also leaves to mourn the families of her foster sister Eleatha Ammons (deceased), foster brother Ajohn Stryker (deceased) her cousin Rev. Dr. Earlene Perry Thompson. 

During her life she also became a foster mother to several children.  To name a few Cianna S. Wotorson , Massa Dempster Perry, Rita Stryker Wallwitz,  Bendu MBock and Sangay Jorgbor.  Ma Mary and her sister Amara were also part of her home and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and also great grandnieces and nephews.

Her remains will be removed from the Samuel A. Stryker Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 26th, 2014 and taken to the First United Methodist Church Ashmun Street, Monrovia, Liberia where the Wake Keeping will be held at 6 p.m.

The funeral will take place at the First United Methodist Church Ashmun Street, Monrovia, Liberia at 10 a.m. February 27th, 2014.

Internment follows at the Kaiser Memorial Lawn in Brewerville.  The repass will be held at the Gertylue Floral Park.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of her care givers, family members and friends involved in the preparation of her home going.
