Dr. Thomas Dominic Boker
The Boker Family mournfully announces the passing of Dr. Thomas Dominic Boker, loving father, affectionate relative, and friend. Following a period of illness, he passed into heavenly peace on Thursday, April 30, 2015.
Born on October 11, 1945 in Takoradi, Ghana, Thomas attended Howard Primary Elementary School and St. Johns' Secondary School. After a period of studying at the University of Liberia, Dr. Boker ultimately received a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science from Indiana Institute of Technology and Colorado State University, respectively. He eventually capped his studies with a Doctorate from Michigan State University.
Throughout his professional lifetime, Dr. Boker served as the former Minister of Public Works and CEO of Geotechnical Construction Company in Liberia. He also served as former President of Mighty Barrolle Sports Association, former President of the Nmano Social Club, and was a member of the Knights of St. John International. He was an educator, a mentor, a contributor to his community. Though gone, he will always be remembered for helping others in his home country of Liberia and the United States of America.
Dr. Boker is remembered by both his biological and adoptive children: Tracey Boker, Auntie Boker, Boyedee Boker, Arway Boker, Jorplee Boker, Missayr Boker, Balleh Doe, Kieh Seliee Boker, and Tetee Sarkor. He is also remembered by his grandchildren Dominique Boker, Amber Brunson, Sio Boker, Timothy Burrell, Keke Boker, Jornelle Boker, Ansu Kaba, Hadja Kaba, Jlamute Boker, Snolti Boker, Robert Harper, and Juah Awlime. He also leaves to mourn his loss siblings, Comfort Boker and Francis Boker, and a host of other relatives and friends in Liberia and the USA.
He was predeceased by his parents, James Doe and Sajilah Broh Boker, wife Ruth Fornyeneh Nagbe Boker, daughter, Charleena Boker, granddaughter, Michaela Burrell, and brothers Peter and James Boker.
Funeral Service: Saturday, May 23 at 9:00 a.m.
