The Dennis, DeWalt, and Benson families announce with deepest sympathy the quiet passing and home-going, in her 81st year, of our Sister, Mother, Aunt, Grandmother, Niece, and Cousin, Mrs. Edith Leona Dennis Benson of Careysburg, Liberia and Sterling, Virginia, USA. This sad event occurred on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 7:25 p.m., at the home of her children in Woodbridge, Virginia, following a brief illness.

Deaconess Edith Leona Dennis Benson leaves to mourn her loss three children: Edith Tetee Brumskine (Hannibal); Dorothy Passawe (Wilfred); Grace Benson Slopper (Bayee). Sisters: Rev. Janetta Dennis Grimes; Mrs. Victoria Dennis Jackson; and six Siblings in Liberia. Grandchildren; Nieces; Nephews; Aunts; Uncle; Cousins; and many relatives, close friends, and associates.
