The Carter, Tolbert, Houston, Padmore, Shaka and Bannah families regret to announce the passing of their loved one Jerusha Deborah Carter Bannah. This peaceful homegoing event occurred at the residence of she and her loving daughter on Friday, November 24th at 10:37 P.M. surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was affectionately known as Fine Aunty, Mommy, or Aunty Jerusha.
The late Jerusha Carter Bannah was born onto the union of the Late Hon. David Samuel Carter Sr. and Mrs. Jandeh Konah Gowah-Carter. Jerusha was married to the late James K. G. Bannah in 1961 with whom she has 3 (three) children; James Jr. Ayodele Bannah-Goodridge and E. Augustus Bannah and two foster children Matthew Garway and Jerusha Harris. Prior to Jerusha’s marriage, she also had 2 (two) children; Mr. Femon Adolphus-Borbor Padmore and the late Lester Kormnah Shaka. Jerusha lived to enjoy 15 (Fifteen) Grand-children, 8 (Eight) Great-Grand Children, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jerusha leaves to mourn her loss, her children, Femon Adolphus Borbor Padmore, James Bannah Jr. Ayodele Goodridge, E. Augustus Bannah, her two foster children, Matthew Garway, Jerusha Harris and her two Sisters, Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Carter-Tolbert, and Ms. Johnette Houston, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of relatives, friends and Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church family.
