It
is with heavy hearts that the Banks family announces
the sudden death of Mr. Vivion Boye Banks Sr.
This sad event occurred on Sunday, December
20th, 2009 in Baltimore, Maryland. Both of his
parents predeceased him (Mrs. Tiangay Simpson
Banks and Mr. Thomas Banks Sr.).
V-Boye, as he was affectionately called, leaves
to mourn his loss, his wife Famatta Banks, his
step mother, Mrs. Margaret Pratt, four (4) children,
William Lawrence Banks (Antonia) of the USA,
Alvin Banks, Vivion Banks, Jr., and Evangeline
Banks of Liberia.
He
also leaves to mourn his loss his siblings Mama
Banks (Sumo), Theodosia Kamah Banks, Coo-Coo
(Margaret) Banks, Mercy Pratt-Debar, Thomas
Banks, Roosevelt Banks, Joe Banks, Victoria
Burgess(Lottie), several nieces and nephews,
uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of other relatives
and friends.
Wake
Keeping and Funeral Service will be held
in Baltimore, Maryland where he resided while
in the USA. Both services will be held at the
same location: People's Community Lutheran Church,
6200 Loch Raven Blvd. Baltimore, MD 21239.

final farewell services for Mr. Vivion B. Banks,
Sr. will be held in Georgia. Wake keeping will
be held Friday, January 15, 2010 from 7pm-10pm
at the Norcross First United Methodist Church,
2500 Beaver Ruin Rd, Norcross, GA 30071. The
funeral will be held at the same location at
10:am on Saturday, January 16, 2010. Interment:
Melwood Cemetery, 5172 E. Ponce De Leon Ave,
Decatur, GA. The repast will be held at the
Norcross First United Methodist Fellowship Hall.
