It is with sadness that George W. Askie Jr. along with the Hickson, Askie and Dennis families, announce the passing of their beloved virtuous wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and niece- Ayodele Hickson-Askie.
Ayo, “Ayo Mayo” as she was affectionately called made her transition on Christmas Day December 25, 2019 at the Virtual Voorhees Hospital in New Jersey surrounded by loved ones.
Ayo attended the JJ Roberts Methodist School and the College of West Africa (CWA) in Liberia. She graduated from Lutheran East High School in Ohio and later matriculated to Alma College in Michigan for undergraduate studies.
Ayo was predeceased by her father Mr. Arthur Ojumiri Hickson in November, 2018. She is survived by her husband of 14 years Mr. George W. Askie Jr and his children George III, Precious, Ernest and Jewel; her mother Bindu Dennis-Hickson; siblings Mallyveen, Glenn (Tara), Bill, Ade (Ahsha) and Olu (Charmieca); aunt Mrs. Georgia Dennis Ross; several nieces and nephews including Evan Hickson and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Saturday January 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.
