John Kwesi Arthur
The Arthur, Taylor, Bettie, Smith, Moore and Lee families regret to announce the death of their father, grandfather, great grandfather and family member John Kwesi Arthur, who passed away peacefully after a brief illness on June 29, 2014 at his resident in Columbia Heights, Minnesota USA.
John worked with Farrell Lines Shipping Company in Liberia as a marine mechanic for fifteen years. He also worked with the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) as a turbine mechanic for 29 years and retired in 2004. Prior to employment with Farrell Lines, he taught at the Monrovia College School, Camp Johnson Road, Monrovia, Liberia.
He leaves to morn his loss, his loving wife of sixty two years, Mother Sarah T. Arthur, his sister Ama Dadzie of Kumasi, Ghana. John is also survived by eight children: Eugene Holman, Christiana Abenah Arthur-Clarke (J. Comfort), Josiah Kobenah Myles Arthur (Caron), Apapa Effua Arthur, Juliana Ama Arthur, Emmanuel Kofi Patrick Arthur, Sr. (Paulina), Joyce Ekua Arthur and Brenda Ajuah Arthur. He was predeceased by two of his sons: John Kwesi Arthur, II and Kwesi Kra Arthur.
