The Rev. Canon Andrew Omoniyi Afolabi (Retd)

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

The families of The Rev Cannon Andrew Omoniyi Afolabi announce with profound regret his transition to be with the Lord.  We have lost a Priest, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, a great teacher, and a “Fallen Spartan”- Affectionately referred to as” Mr. Afolabi” by the numerous students of B. W. Harris Episcopal High School he helped mold into wonderful men and women from the 1960s to the 1990s-.                  

This sad event occurred on Wednesday November 26, 2014 at 4:47 a.m., at his home in Mableton GA, U.S.A.  As we mourn his transition, we give thanks to God Almighty for his life and the positive impact he left on others during his lifetime.
The Rev. Canon Afolabi was predeceased by his father: Chief David Afolabi, his mother: Mrs. Rachael Arinola Afolabi, sister: Mrs. Victoria Malomo Salami, and son: Mr. Boima Nathan Fahnbulleh.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Mrs. Lucinda Gibson- Afolabi, His children:  Bamidele ( Dele ), Kolawola (Duke ), Aderemi ( Femi ) , Andrew Jr.(Omoniyi), Andrea ( Bunmi ), Luncinda( Yemisi ), Andrena (Kehinde), Andretta ( Tayie ), and Josephine (Bolale), foster children, grandchildren, sisters( Mrs. Josephine Buoro, Mrs. Christiana Akele, and Evang. (Mrs.) Esther Fagbemi), brothers, in-laws, aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends in the U.S.A, Nigeria, Liberia and the UK
