The Stubblefield, Smith, Gittens, Gerring, Ward, Allison, and Sherman Families announce the glorious home-going of our matriarch, sweet and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and cherished friend, Ma Martha Zelene Smith Stubblefield. This peaceful transition occurred on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 8:50 p.m. at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, USA. She was 94. 

The late Ma Martha Zelene Smith Stubblefield leaves to mourn her death her children: Victoria K. Peah; Viola Gerring; K. Deree Johns(Sonie); Emily K. Walker (Haven); Tonia A. Mitchell (Jerome);  Dehkontee Farley; Rose Allison, and Josephine Holder; Grandchildren: Sylvestine P. Gbessagee (Nathaniel); Charles Payne; Emile Joseph (Rose); Alsena Jones; Nyema S. Peah; Luseni Kamara;  Josephine Diggs, Lawrence Mitchell(Famatta); and Princess Kamara. great grandchildren: Eddiemai K. Brehler; Danielle Payne; Keyonna Woods, Kaborn Woods, Abdullah Dolley, Vicky Peah, Malik Peah, Nyema Peah, Jr., and Malika Peah; Sisters: Mrs. Rachel Eastman; Ms. Lydia Gittens;  and Theodosia Potter; Brother: Joseph Gittens; Nieces: Leona Wulah (Ralph); Natalie Eastman; Blanche Eastman; Esther Eastman Green, Sophie Gittens and Princess Martha Mitchell; Nephews: Jimmy Eastman (Jackie); Raphael Eastman (Grace); John Eastman (Karen),Wilmont Eastman and Gerald Smith.  She also leaves to mourn her death her God daughter, Janet Butler;  Cousins: Mrs. Rae Tisdell, Dr. Marlon Brewer, Mrs. Theodra Ward Jackson,Mrs. Cynthia Gabor, Mrs. Jeannie Smith and many other cousins, Bestfriend: Mrs. Ethel Holt Rostrom. Her Providence children, Godchildren and church family.

The late Ma Martha Zelene Smith Stubblefield  is predeceased by her Parent:, Mr. Wallace Smith and Mrs. Ellen Gerring-Gittens; Step father, Hon.Lionel Gittens; Foster Parents, Hon.  Urias and Annette Potter; her husband, Mr. Johnny Stubblefield and brother Carlos Smith.  Three Children, Mary Dalmedia Payne; Martha L. Gittens; and Joseph Gerring; Grandson:  Konyon J. Woods, nephews: Henry Gittens and Lionel Gittens, and one grandniece, Adeola Wulah.

May the memory of Ma Martha forever be cherished in our hearts.
