Mrs. Rosalind Musu Cooper-Richards

The Richards Family of Clay Ashland, Cooper Family of Bensonville and Kolleh Family of Duala announce with deepest regrets the passing of their mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin, Mrs. Rosalind Musu Cooper-Richards. This sad event occurred early Sunday morning, December 2, 2012 at the Villa Rosa Nursing Home in Mitchellville, MD, USA.

Rosalind Musu Cooper-Richards was predeceased by her husband, Christian A. Richards Sr., her parents Charles Henry Cooper and Twarty Kolleh, her son Charles Henry, her grandson Arnold Jr, and her son-in-law Leon Ledlum. She is survived by her four children - Christian Richards Jr. (Janice), Arnold Richards Sr. (Yvonne), Cia Richards-Ledlum, Dr. Colletta “Lady” Richards-Claggett (Ernest I), two sisters - Angeline Cooper and Maryann Melton, three sisters-in-law - Willette Cooper, Izetta Cooper, and Wannie Cooper, one brother-in-law Willie Givens Sr., twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends in the U.S. and Liberia.

Memorial Educational Fund

The family has established a memorial Rosalind M. Cooper-Richards Educational Fund to benefit the Christian A. Richards, Sr. School in Clay Ashland, Liberia. Tax deductible donations can be made payable to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, specifying “The Rosalind M. Cooper-Richards Educational Fund” or simply “The RMCR Educational Fund” in the memo line of the check or money order. Donations of cash can be given in an envelope with your name and address so the church can return to you a receipt for the amount given. In lieu of funeral flowers, please redirect those funds to the RMCR Educational Fund.

All donations should be sent to St. Barnabas’ Church, 14111 Oak Grove Road, Upper Marlboro, MD, 20774.
