Death Announcement: Nancy G. Nimene Nah

In anticipation of the resurrection, the Nah and Nimene families announce the passing, in her 91st year, of Nancy Gbei Nimene Nah.  This unforgettable event occurred on Christmas Eve 2012 at her residence in Alexandria, Virginia (USA).  When Liberia's devastating civil war ended several decades of service as the country's first professional nutritionist, Mrs. Nah moved to the USA, where she spent the last 21 years of her life.  Celebrating that life are:  her brothers - S. Moses Nimene, N. Thomas Nimene; her children - Helena Nah, Suzette Nah Love, Lawrence Nah, Blecho Nah (JoAnn), Alecia Kallon, Nancy Burphy, Leatrice Jackson and N. Charwin Nah; her grandchildren - Georgia Nah Massaquoi (Ernest), Edna "AC" Nah Gibson (Gerry), Oretha Nimene Johnson (Ralph), Dorothy Lewis (Hans), Taneh Love, Monsio Love Joof (Anthony), Tahplah Nah, Whiyata Burphy, Sama Nah, Taloh Burphy and Tyler Nah. Also giving thanks for Nancy Nah's life are her great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, foster family and friends at home and abroad.

Services will be held at Bethel World Outreach Church, 8242 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20910.  Parking is available on Georgia Avenue and in the Metro parking garage close to the church on Bonifant and Dixon Streets. Parking is free after 7pm on Friday and all weekend.

Wake keeping: Friday, January 11, 2013 from 7-10 pm
Viewing: Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 8:30-9:30 am
Funeral: Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 9:30 am

Interment: Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD 20722

Floral arrangements may be sent to the funeral home, Capitol Mortuary, 1425 Maryland Avenue, NE, Washington, DC 20002, 202.399.6999 by 5 pm on Friday, January 11, 2013.  Tributes (no more than 2 minutes each) may be given at the wake.
