Home Going Announcement of Mrs. Anna T. Johnson


The Johnson, Davies, Wilson and Weah families are deeply saddened by the irreparable loss of our beloved mother, foster mother, grandmother, great grandmother sister, aunt, and cousin Mrs. Anna T. Johnson of Trembo (Nywaken), Grand Kru County, Liberia. This sad event occurred in the United States of America in the early hours of July 22, 2015 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania following a brief illness.

“Aunty Anna, Ma Anna, Grandma Anna, Nana,” as she was affectionately called, was born in Grand Kru County, Liberia on June 19, 1953. She was a faithful member of The Trinity Lutheran Church in Liberia and an affiliate member of The Philadelphia Church International. She enjoyed singing in the choir, fellowshipping, praying, cooking, baking and entertaining everyone.

She is survived by one son, Joseph Jah Johnson; five daughters, Mai Williams-Wallace, Comfort Williams-Beah, Mabel Williams, Eliza Williams-Davies, and Glenda T. Johnson; one step son, Albert Johnson; two step daughters, Wehlah Johnson and Josephine Johnson; three brothers; six  sisters; eighteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren in Liberia and the USA; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of relatives and friends in Liberia and the United States of America.
